Ramsay Park purchase entire Aroona Park Stud
In 2011 Ramsay Park took the opportunity to expand our White Suffolk Stud enterprise by purchasing the entire Aroona Park stud from Isaac and Lisa Gill from Mangalo SA. The purchase included 180 mated ewes, 124 ewe lambs and 120 ram lambs, all of which have been relocated to our Ramsay Park property at Minlaton.
The new stud will be run separately with the Aroona Park prefix being retained. We have also taken over the Aroona Park annual flock ram sale on Eyre Peninsula. The sale will be held at the Gill property at Mangalo where the rams will be transported back for Aroona Park clients for their selection. Sale Day this year is Monday, August 20th, 2012 , with inspection from 11am and sale starting at 1pm.
The purchase of the stud has given us a larger ewe base and spread of genetics with approx 550 ewes now being mated between the studs. The Aroona Park sheep have been bred with the same ideals and directions of Ramsay Park with both studs complimenting each other.
We look forward to the future of our new venture with confidence and much excitement and the oppurtunity of servicing Isaac & Lisa clients on the Eyre Peninsula.
